The Aqara M100 hub pairs with wireless door and window sensors to give you real-time notifications when entries happen unexpectedly. The hub itself supports up to 20 Zigbee devices and 20 Thread devices simultaneously, acting as a Matter Bridge that connects your Aqara gear to Apple Home, Alexa, Home Assistant, and other ecosystems. This means you're not locked into one platform and can expand your setup however you like.
Each door and window sensor measures just 1.61 x 0.87 x 0.43 inches, making them discreet on doors, windows, drawers, cabinets, and other fixtures. The sensor works with gaps up to 0.86 inches, so it handles most standard door and window frames without issues. The included magnet component is tiny at 0.79 x 0.39 x 0.39 inches. When the hub detects an opening, it sends an alert to your phone and can trigger the local alarm or automate other connected Aqara devices based on what happens. This is useful for monitoring kids' rooms, entryways, or anywhere else you want visibility.
Range matters here, so keep the sensor within 400 inches of the M100 hub, and place the hub within that same distance from your Wi-Fi router. Both need to be on the same local network. Voice control works through Apple HomeKit and Alexa, so you can check status or manage automations hands-free.
