The Blink Video Doorbell is a second-generation smart doorbell that runs on battery power for up to two years with three included AA Energizer lithium batteries. It mounts wire-free right out of the box, though you can also connect it to existing doorbell wiring if you prefer. The expanded field of view gives you head-to-toe coverage of whoever's at your door, and infrared night vision keeps working around the clock.
You get a crisp HD feed on your phone through the Blink app, plus two-way audio so you can hear and talk to visitors without opening the door. If you wire it up, the doorbell will chime through your home's existing speakers. For a wireless-only setup, pair it with a Blink Mini 2 camera elsewhere in your home to act as an indoor chime. Every time someone presses the button, you'll get an alert on your phone.
This doorbell works with Alexa devices, letting you answer the door and control your smart home by voice. A Blink Sync Module is required to use this device (sold separately). Cloud storage starts with a free 30-day trial of a Blink Subscription Plan if you want to save and organize your video clips. Person detection alerts and features like Blink Moments require a subscription as well.
