The Sustee Aquameter is a leave-in soil moisture sensor that stays in your pot for continuous monitoring. Unlike traditional moisture meters that you pull out after each check, these refillable sticks live permanently in the soil, making plant watering way simpler. Each stick measures 4.7 inches long and works best in 2, 2.5, and 3 inch pots, so they're perfect for small succulents and compact houseplants.
The system uses color changes to tell you when to water. The indicator shows white when your plant is thirsty and blue once the soil has been watered. This means you can check at a glance without poking around in the dirt or guessing based on how the leaves look. The sticks are refillable, and each core lasts roughly 6 to 9 months depending on how often you water. This set gives you five sensors, so you can monitor multiple plants or rotate through different pots over time.
Sustee developed these sticks in collaboration with Tokyo University of Agriculture to make them reliable and effective. The design accounts for different soil types, so the color indicator adapts to how moisture behaves in whatever potting mix you're using.
